Douglas "Doug" Lamar Layton

Douglas "Doug" Lamar Layton, 68, of Dawsonville, died March 27, 2009.

  

A native of Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Charles and Charlotta Layton.

  

Survivors include his beloved wife, LaNell Layton of Dawsonville; children, Wendy (Cliff) Funderburg, David (Michelle) Layton, all of Cumming; brother, Tom (Lonnie) Layton of St. Petersburg, Fla.; grandchildren, Christopher Funderburg, Benjamin Funderburg and Brianna Layton; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were 10 a.m. Monday, March 30 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home with the Revs. Ricky Fields and Ray Berry officiating.

  

Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

  

McDonald and Son Funeral Home & Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
