Cumming man killed in tractor accident

A man from Cumming died when his tractor overturned earlier this week.

According to Georgia State Patrol spokeswoman Robin Stone, Jerry Ledford, 63, was cutting grass on his on Riverbend Road property just after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday when his tractor overturned and he was ejected.

"For unknown reasons the driver lost control," Stone said.

The tractor rolled over Ledford before continuing down the hill and coming to rest against trees.

Ledford was pronounced dead at the scene.
