Dawsonville's Chase Elliott joined Atlanta Motor Speedway officials at the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame last week to announce a special promotional ticket offer for the Great Clips 300 to benefit Feed the Children.

"We thought Dawsonville would be the appropriate place to come and announce this program," said Atlanta Motor Speedway president Ed Clark at the July 10 event. "When you look at the history of this area and what it means to NASCAR racing, it really is something special."

The promotion, in celebration of Elliott's first career NASCAR race at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Aug. 30, will allow fans to join "Chase's Crew" by purchasing a $30 ticket to benefit the charity. A special section will be dedicated to "Chase's Crew" and purchasers will be seated together in the Champions Grandstands, section 156.

The first 150 purchasers will receive admission to a private autograph session with Chase Elliott on race day and the first 1,000 will receive a special Chase Elliott "#di9" rally towel commemorating the driver's first race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

"I appreciate everybody coming out today," Elliott said. "It's a really cool honor and this is a special place to go and race at. This is a great program they've put together and I hope to see all of y'all out there in the stands."

But for fans, any chance to see the second-generation racer is something they flock to.

"We came all the way up from Danville," said fans Brad and Renee Coussons. "It's not every day that you get to do something like this."

Elliott's younger fans were excited but nervous to meet the 18-year-old driver.

Isaiah Baker, 6, said he was excited to meet Chase Elliott and he had a No. 9 Hot Wheels car for Elliott to sign.

Reese Moore, 9, said that she was excited, but extremely nervous as well.

"I don't have any questions for him," she said. "I just want him to sign my shirt and get a picture."

Elliott is currently third in the NASCAR Nationwide Series points standings. His two wins in the series is the most out of all full-time NASCAR Nationwide Series drivers this season.

The special "Chase's Crew" tickets are available for purchase at the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame.
