Harold Jefferson McGehee

Harold Jefferson McGehee, 78, of Smyrna, died July 10, 2014.

Born and raised in the Barrettsville community of Dawson County, Mr. McGehee moved to Smyrna 41 years ago.

He retired from Southeastern Freight Line after 30 years of safe driving awards.

His parents, Seymour Jefferson and Minnie Bell McGehee; a brother, Travis McGehee; and son-in-law, Russell Cummings, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Susie J. McGehee; two daughters, Cathy McGehee Cummings, Ann McGehee Cleveland, both of Dallas; brother, Carroll McGehee of Cumming; two sisters-in-law, JoAnn McGehee of Hiram, Peggy McGehee of Cumming; five grandchildren, Angie, Carrie, Amanda, Stephanie and Amy; 10 great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. July 14 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory with his cousin Kenneth Turner officiating. Interment followed at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta.

West Cobb Funeral Home of Marietta was in charge of the arrangements.
