Candidate for governor set to visit Dahlonega

Democratic hopefuls and supporters will gather for a rally in Dahlonega next weekend.

Jason Carter, Democratic candidate for governor of Georgia, will be at a rally sponsored by the Lumpkin and Dawson County Democratic parties on June 21.

The rally will be at Hancock Park, just off the Dahlonega Square, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., with Carter in attendance from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. to speak with and meet the voters.

In addition, David Vogel, candidate for 9th District US Congress, will be attending, as well as DuBose Porter, chair of the Democratic Party of Georgia. Campaign materials for other candidates will also be available.
