Party planned for volunteer

POSTED: May 28, 2014 4:00 a.m.

Longtime friends of civic volunteer Helen Taylor are asking the community to save June 29 on their calendars to celebrate her 90th birthday.

"A group of her friend and members of many of the organizations with which she has been associated will be hosting a party at Bethel United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. that day," said longtime friend Judy Baer.

"Join us for this event to wish her well and to share memories."

Baer said the group is putting together a slideshow to have on display during the party and is looking for photos of Taylor and the work she has done in the community over the years.

"You may also write a message to Helen and share any memorabilia for a memory book," she said.

The photos and messages may be taken to Stacey Leonhardt at the Dawson County Library, at 342 Allen Street, Dawsonville.

"Let's all get together and show our love for her and make this a day she won't forget," Baer said.

For more information, call Baer at (706) 265-3868.
