Probate court adds new online service

POSTED: August 3, 2008 5:03 a.m.

Dawson County Probate Judge Jennifer Burt recently announced that the Dawson County Probate Court is now using an online Web site, www.eZCourtPay.com, where offenders can search for and pay their traffic tickets by credit card.

By making this service available, the probate court is well positioned for the growth that Dawson County is experiencing and the move will allow the existing court personnel to handle the increased volume and spend their time more productively. Providing the Web site also meets the ever-increasing demand for the convenience of paying traffic tickets online with a credit card.

Security and privacy were huge concerns for the court, and all the necessary protocols and precautions are employed to ensure that all sensitive information remains private and encrypted.

Burt is also pleased to announce that the Web site, support and maintenance is provided at no cost to the county thanks to a partnership with Criminal Justice Technologies, the court’s case management software vendor and eZCourtPay LLC.

Burt added that the system was carefully designed to prevent any unauthorized access and to ease the burden on residents.
