Region 7-AAA basketball tournament this weekend

No. 2 Tigers host North Hall Saturday night at home

The Region 7-AAA basketball tournament will be this weekend.

The Dawson County Tigers, who are on a three-game winning streak, will play North Hall at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at home.

With the three wins, the boys secured the No. 2 seed in the tournament. North Hall is No. 7.

The Tigers defeated North Hall twice during the regular season, 52-43 in overtime earlier in the season and 51-44 last week.

Dawson County finished the regular season with a 19-6 overall record and a 10-4 record in Region 7-AAA.

The Lady Tigers will play Fannin County at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Buford High School. The ladies enter the Region 7-AAA tournament as the No. 4 seed after finishing the regular season with a 17-8 record. They finished 8-6 in region play.
