Lois Virginia Bowen Hester

Lois Virginia Bowen Hester, 85, of Dawsonville, died Oct. 2, 2013.

She liked to sew, read and loved the outdoors.

Her husband, Watson James Hester; daughter, Georgia Marsha Bowen; parents, Pink Riley and Emma Mae Bowen; brothers, Marshall Bowen, Hubert Bowen; sisters, Lillian Donahue and Dorothy Bowen, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Bryant Keith and Anita Bowen, Walter and DeAnna Bowen; grandchildren, Wayne and Sheree Davis, Amber Bowen and Vernell Johnson, Robert Luke Bowen; great-grandchildren, Desirae Hope Davis, Rylie Alona Davis, Aubriella Ann Johnson; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Oct. 5, in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Wilburn Ridings, Cecil Reeves and Ray Berry officiating. Interment followed in the Big Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
