Emmie Joyce Gilbert

Emmie Joyce Gilbert, 77, of Gainesville, died Aug. 31, 2013.

Her husband, Howard Gilbert; parents, Eugene and Jessie Dell Holmes; sister, Mary Moulder; brother, James Howard Holmes; granddaughter, Brittany Pruitt; and sons-in-law, Lanier Pruitt and Tommy Dickerson, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Ronnie Nichelson, Beverly Sparks, all of Cumming, Peggy Pruitt, Tracy and Mark Mobarry, all of Dawsonville, Sharon Dickerson of Gainesville, Susie Owen of Dahlonega, Kimberly and Brett Jones of Dallas; son and daughter-in-law, Howard E. and Norma Gilbert of Gainesville; sisters, Jean Brannon, Martha Nichelson; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Wynelle Holmes; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sept. 3, in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jimmy Dickerson and Terry Gilbert officiating. Interment followed at Warsaw Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to Warsaw Cemetery.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
