According to Dawson County Sheriff's Maj. Tony Wooten, McClendon likely will face a variety of charges, including fleeing and attempting to elude, reckless driving, shoplifting and possession of drug-related objects.

The incident began about 3:18 p.m. with a report of shoplifting at Walmart. According to Wooten, the caller reported the suspect had left in a red Jeep.
