Alta Lee "Runt" Thomas

Alta Lee "Runt" Thomas, 85, of Cumming, died Sunday, July 6, 2008 at her residence following an extended illness.

Thomas was an active member of Coal Mountain Baptist Church for many years, having served in the nursery during Vacation Bible School before moving her membership to Bethel Baptist Church.

She will always be remembered as a loving wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Roscoe Thomas of Cumming; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Leroy Hubbard and Joy and John Dooley, all of Cumming; grandchildren, Tim and Melissa Hubbard, Russ and Kristie Hubbard, Caren Dooley, all of Cumming, Jennifer and Chris D'Agnese of Winder; great-grandchildren, T.C., Josh, Jake and Sarah Hubbard and Christian Thomas D'Agnese; sister, Bennie Nell Strickland of Augusta; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were Wednesday, July 9 at 3 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Tim Hubbard, Danny Bennett, Melvin Richards and Rex Byrd officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
