Teen accused of child sex crimes

A local teenager has been indicted by a Dawson County Grand Jury on charges he molested a young family member.

Michael Dwight Gilbert, 18, is charged with two counts of aggravated child molestation and two counts of child molestation resulting from incidents that occurred between May 2010 and July 2012, according to the June 27 indictment.

The prosecution could not list exact dates in the indictment "as the crime occurred repeatedly during the period of time alleged and due to the tender age of the victim."

The indictment did not include the child's age other than to say she was younger than 16.

Also indicted on June 27:

Roderick Quinton Alexander, 53, of Atlanta: Two counts felony theft by shoplifting, recidivist.

Michael Shane Allen, 45, of Dawsonville: Criminal attempt to possess methamphetamine, use of a communication facility in committing a violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act.

Shane David Arnold: Aggravated assault and criminal trespass.

James Michael Arp, 60, of Dawsonville: False imprisonment, two counts battery (family violence), two counts third-degree cruelty to children and three counts obstruction of a law enforcement officer.

James Gaston Bagget, 34, of Dawsonville: Three counts first-degree cruelty to children and five counts third-degree cruelty to children.

Samuel Demetrius Battle, 32, of Dawsonville: Burglary, felony theft by taking and felony theft by receiving.

Velma Mae Bennett, 63, of Dawsonville: Possession of methamphetamine.

Sharon McKinzie Burnett, 34, of Dawsonville: Two counts identity fraud.

Clarence Lee Callahan, 37, of Cumming: Possession of methamphetamine and two counts possession of drug-related objects.

Salvador Campos, 48, of Marietta: Trafficking in methamphetamine.

Diego Carillo-Lopez, 20, of Dawsonville: Three counts entering automobile and misdemeanor theft by taking.

William Randal Crawford, 33, of Gainesville: Two counts theft by taking motor vehicle, felony theft by taking and second-degree criminal damage to property.

Billy G.J. Croy, 28, of Cumming: Possession of methamphetamine, two counts possession of drug-related objects and windshield violation.

Michael Ray Ferrell, 40, of Cumming: Felony family violence battery (recidivist), simple battery family violence and public drunkenness.

Ashantye Sequyoah Ford, 36, of Cumming: First-degree forgery and criminal attempt to commit violation of Georgia Controlled Substances Act.

Douglas Winford Garrett Jr., 33, of Dawsonville: Felony battery, family violence act.

Diane Elaine Hamrick, 55, of Dawsonville: Criminal attempt.

James David House, 44, of Acworth: Possession of methamphetamine, criminal attempt and possession of drug-related objects.

Dawn Marie Kimbral, 34, of Dawsonville: Possession of methamphetamine.

Tammy Jo Kramer, 48, of Dawsonville: Possession of methamphetamine.

Deborah Janine Jenkins, 47, of Cumming: Possession of methamphetamine and two counts possession of drug-related objects.

Heather J. Lewis, 22, of Dahlonega: Obtain controlled substance by fraud.

Calvin William Lowery, 45, of Dawsonville: Possession of methamphetamine.

Tony Lee Lummus: Aggravated assault and driving with suspended license.

Ramiro Perez, 22, of Smyrna: Trafficking in methamphetamine.

Raymond Frederick Schuyler, 51, of Dawsonville: Criminal attempt, use of a communication facility in committing a violation of Georgia Controlled Substances Act and possession of drug-related object.

Tony Ray Shirley, 48, of Cumming: Theft by shoplifting and three counts obstruction of an officer.

Tony Ray Shirley Jr., 25, of Cumming: Theft by shoplifting.

Johnnie Livingston Simpson, III: Theft by taking.

Joseph Hubert Tinsley, 39, of Dawsonville: Two counts aggravated assault, first-degree criminal damage to property and aggressive driving.

Curtis Anthony Welch, 42, of Dahlonega: Burglary, misdemeanor theft by taking and criminal trespass.

Mary Linda Williamson, 45, of Dahlonega: Felony identity fraud.

Chad Anthony Woody, 32, of Dawsonville: Felony possession of marijuana, possession of drug-related objects, two counts DUI, open container and operation of vehicle without revalidation decal.

James Lee Wood, 59, of Dawsonville: Terroristic threats and simple assault.
