Rev. Glen Phillips

Rev. Glen Phillips, 76, of Cumming, died Nov. 15, 2012.

Glen was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

The Rev. Phillips pastored New Light Baptist Church for 14 years and was the former pastor of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Jean Phillips; children, Cathy and Jackie Bentley, Chuck and Jody Phillips, Charlotte and David Lee, all of Cumming; sister, Peggy Niblett of Cumming; brother, Henry Phillips of Lakeland, Fla.; grandchildren, Jennifer and Billy Smith, Jackie and Sarah Bentley, Kacey Phillips, Lindsey and Ben Hill, Abbey Phillips, Jesse Tucker, Teanna and Cory Tea; great-grandchildren, Cole Smith, Jalen Smith, Jackson Bentley, Russell Hill, Brandon Hill, Katelyn Moore, Preston Moore and Gunner Tea; various other relatives also survive.

The family would like to thank his caregiver, M.J. Thomany.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Nov. 18 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Revs. Ricky Waters and Ray Gober officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Flowers were accepted, or in lieu, donations were requested made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
