Boys named to all-region team

The coaches in Region 7-AAA announced their All-Region team recently. Two Tigers were named to the first team, Josh Lund and Jose Miranda, while Gunnar Armstrong was selected on the second team.

Co-region players of the year were Julio Avila from East Hall and Omar Castillo from West Hall.

Chris Horton from East Hall High School was named Region 7-AAA coach of the year.

Joining Lund and Miranda on the first team were: Adan Gonzalez of Banks County, Will Uriostegui of Buford, Edgar Cerrano of East Hall, Ruben Rosas of Fannin County, Zach Tibbs of North Hall, Junior Avalos of North Hall, Chance Martin of North Hall, Cesar Villa of West Hall, Frankie Vazquez of West Hall and Eddie Hurst from White County.

Along with Armstrong, the second team was made up of: Matt Bonadies of Buford, Jorge Meza of East Hall, Emmanuel Andrade of East Hall, Nestor Soto of East Hall, Tyler Moore of Fannin County, Henry Taylor of North Hall, Abraham Elias of North Hall and Dante Moss of White County.

The Tigers finished the year with 13-4 record and were the No.4 seed in the region headed into the state playoffs.
