Susie B. Almond

Susie B. Almond, 74, of Dahlonega, died Jan. 11, 2013.

Ms. Almond was born Feb. 4, 1938, to the late Willard and Polly Flannigan.

She was a resident of Forsyth County for most of her life until moving to Dahlonega in 1997. She was a member of Amicalola Baptist Church.

Her brother, James Flannigan, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughters, Pauline Frady, Sherry Barrett, both of Dahlonega, Charlotte Chadwick of Cumming, Annie McClung of Lilburn; sons, Stanley Lamar Hudgins of Tate, Ronald Barrett of Hiawassee; sisters, Bertie Collins of Cumming, Betty Jones of Gainesville; brothers, Fred Flannigan of Cumming, Clyde Flannigan of Cumming; 20 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Jan. 14 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Daniels officiating. Interment followed in the Amicalola Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville is in charge of the arrangements.
