Boys lose game

POSTED: January 15, 2013 4:39 p.m.

The Dawson County High School junior varsity boys basketball team dropped a, 47-26, decision at North Hall last week.

With the loss Dawson County fell to 6-2 on the season.

Coach Wes Greer's Tigers held a, 13-8, lead after the first quarter, but North Hall picked up the defense and allowed Dawson County only 13 points over the last three quarters.

"We turned the ball over way too many times," Greer said.

The Tigers had 17 turnovers for the game.

"The turnovers pretty much sum the game up," he said.

JT Eggert led the Tigers in scoring with seven points.

Also scoring were: Cullen MacDonald with five points, Levi Whitmire contributed six points, Terrell Dawson added four points, Brandon Abbott and Keaton Coates knocked in two points each.

Dawson County will play its next game at 5:30 p.m. Friday at home against Fannin County.
