Swearing-in ceremony will be Thursday

Residents invited to attend

The county's newest elected officials will be sworn into office Thursday at the Dawson County Government Center.

Probate Judge Jennifer Burt will administer the oaths of office for three county commissioners, three school board members, tax commissioner, sheriff, clerk of courts, chief magistrate and surveyor beginning at 11 a.m. in the assembly room on the second floor.

Superior Court Judge Andrew Fuller will administer the oath of office for Burt.

Running on the republican ticket, all were re-elected to new terms during the July 31 Primary Election and faced no opposition for the Nov. 6 General Election.

The public is invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony. Refreshments will be served following the event.
