Delbert H. Tow

Delbert H. Tow, 67, of Dawsonville, died Dec. 4, 2012.

Born March 21, 1945, in Lumpkin County to the late Oscar and Nellie Tow, he had been a resident of Dawsonville most of his life.

Mr. Tow retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation where he had more than 20 years of service.

He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

His sisters, Adele Tow, Bertha Lou Chester, Ethelene Timms, Lona Mae Chester; brothers, Dillard Tow, Hillard Tow; three infant sisters and one infant brother, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his sister, Jean Mason of Dahlonega; special niece and her husband, Angela and Robbie Irvin of Dahlonega; brother-in-law, Loy Chester of Dahlonega; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Dec. 7 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Chester officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
