Carolyn Irene Higgins

Carolyn Irene Higgins, 75, of Dawsonville, died Dec. 6, 2012.

Born Feb. 14, 1937, to the late Dave and Eliza Kimbral, she lived most of her life in Dawson County.

Mrs. Higgins worked numerous places throughout Dawson County and was employed for 11 years as a custodian with the Dawson County School System.

She was a member of Dawsonville Methodist Church.

Her sisters, Pearl, Blanche, Christine, Frances; and brothers, Chesley, Kimsey and Linsey, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Eugene Higgins of Dawsonville; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Kathy Higgins of Dawsonville; sisters, Martha Molder, Brenda Thompson, both of Cumming; brothers, Lesley Kimbral of Cumming, Leonard Kimbral of Jasper; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 8 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sylvester Ridings officiating. Interment followed in the Yellow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
