Nelson Garner, 60, of Forsyth County, died Dec. 2, 2012.

He was a 50 year member of Cumming Second Baptist Church.

He loved deer hunting, fishing and taxidermy.

His parents, Bonnie and Effie Garner; son, Kevin Garner; sister, Rachel Jackson; and a brother, Charles Edwards, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Harriette Garner; son, Travis Lee Garner; stepchildren, Beth and John Gomez, Darlene Raines, Dale and Donna Ballew, Richard Ballew; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Linda Garner, David Garner, Wayne Garner; special friend, Leroy; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 8 at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Sam Rickett, Terry Cowart, Richard Martin, Alan Swafford and Tim Hubbard officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
