The Rev. Clay Cowart

The Rev. Clay Cowart, 91, of Cumming, died Dec. 1, 2012.
Clay was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.

His wife, Edith Kate Lawson Cowart; six brothers and one sister, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Harold Gravitt; son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Doris Cowart; sister, Inez Howard; grandchildren, Michele Nix, Melanie Gravitt, Tammy Sheriff, Tyler Cowart; great-grandchildren, Emily Nix, Ethan Nix, Molly Nix, Blakeley Sheriff, Madison Sheriff, Morgan Gravitt; great-great-grandchildren, Nathan and Weston Gaboury; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 3 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Revs. Allen Dixon, Harold Bottoms and Terry Cowart officiating.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
