Amicalola EMC awarding scholarships

Three, deserving students from the local area will be awarded all expense paid trips to Washington, D.C. to travel during June 2009 and $600 college scholarships by Amicalola Electric Membership Corporation.

  

In addition, eight seniors will be awarded college scholarships.

  

High school juniors who are between 16 and 18 years of age and live in an Amicalola EMC household are eligible to enter the Washington Youth Tour contest.

  

High school seniors who live in an Amicalola EMC household may apply for scholarships.

  

Applications are available at www.amicalolaemc.com, at any local EMC office or in the high school counselor’s office.

  

The deadline for submitting applications for both programs is Jan. 30, 2009.
