Newspaper holding open house Friday

POSTED: November 7, 2012 4:00 a.m.

The public is invited to an open house Friday at the Dawson Community News' new home.

The staff will welcome guests from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. to the office at 76 Howard Ave. East, Suite 140, in Dawsonville Business Park.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Dawson County Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Light refreshments will be served.

Residents may be familiar with the site, which formerly housed Dawson County's planning and zoning department.

"We are constantly looking for ways to better serve the community and feel we are better equipped to do so at our new location," said Editor Stephanie Griffin. "We are very excited about the move and would love to give y'all a tour."
