John Francis Kenny, 80, of Dawsonville, died Oct. 14, 2012.

Born in Detroit, Mich., he was the son of the late Michael and Anna Kenny.

His son, James Matthew Kenny, also preceded him in death.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Carol Kenny of Dawsonville; children, Michele and Marty Wilson of Roswell, Daniel Kenny of Cumming, Laura and Michael Roll of Ramsey, N.J., Jacqueline and John Frontauria of Paramus, N.J.; brother, Thomas M. Kenny of Oradell, N.J.; 10 grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Oct. 19 at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Dawsonville with the Rev. Brian Higgins officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 18 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, 991 Kilough Church Road, Dawsonville, GA 30534.

McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming is in charge of the arrangements.
