Betty C. Wright

Betty C. Wright, 83, of Dawsonville, died Oct. 2, 2012.

Born Oct. 7, 1928, to the late Welmer and Zola Cofield, she had been a resident of Dawsonville since 2004.

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Mrs. Wright retired from the Cobb County School System after more than 20 years of service.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dawsonville.

Her beloved brother, Millard Pope, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, J.R. Wright of Dawsonville; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Glen Miller of Cumming; sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Renee Wright of Dawsonville, David and Ann Wright of Florida; grandchildren, Teresa and John Tinsley, Jessica Wright, Joshua Wright, Glen Jr. and Teresa Miller, Ed and Melissa Miller; great-grandchildren, Devin Herron, Sunshine Wright, Bryce Miller; various other relatives also survive.

Graveside services were held at noon Oct. 4 at Mount Harmony Memorial Gardens, Mableton, Ga. with the Dr. Jim Gaines officiating.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
