Billy C. Gilreath, 81, of Albany, Calif., died Aug. 8, 2012.

Mr. Gilreath was born June 18, 1931, in Dawson County to the late Oscar and Kate Gilreath.

After serving in the U.S. Navy, he settled in Albany where he lived for 60 years.

He retired from Bank of America after 37 years of service.

In addition to his parents, his wife, Margaret Gilreath; and sister, Doris Fausett, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his children, Linda and Joseph Gaeta of Albany, Calif., Dennis and Susan Gilreath of Oakley, Calif., Gil and Kimberly Gilreath of Hercules, Calif.; sister, Brenda Gilreath of Dawsonville; brother and sister-in-law, Wendell and Daisy Gilreath of Dawsonville; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Aug. 12 at Dawsonville Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Glenn Byrd officiating.

The family received friends after the service at Calvary Baptist Church.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
