Julia Harris Cody

Julia Harris Cody, 44, of Dawsonville, died Aug. 7, 2012.

Born Feb. 10, 1968, in Raleigh, N.C. to the late James and Phyllis Harris, she moved to the Dawson County area in 2010 from Gwinnett County.

In October of 2011 she opened Julia's Deli on the downtown square in Dawsonville.

Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Jane H. and Thomas M. van der Meulen of Indianapolis, IN; nephew, Marcus J. van der Meulen; niece, Miranda J. van der Meulen; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services were held at 7 p.m. Aug. 13 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Don Allen officiating.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
