Kellie Clay Richards

Kellie Clay Richards, 51, of Cumming, died July 26, 2012.

Born in Atlanta, she was the daughter of Jack and June Clay of Eatonton.

Kellie had worked as a preschool teacher. Her passion for animals led her to work at Hamby Animal Hospital and as PetWatch pet-sitter.

In addition to her parents, survivors include her beloved husband, Al Richards of Cumming; children, Clay Alton Richards and Lauren Melissa Richards of Cumming; sister, Torri (Craig) Frank of Oxford; mother and father-in-law, Bobbie and Alton Richards of Cumming; sisters-in-law, Teresa Garrett of Dawsonville, Vivian (Alan) Bennett of Gainesville, Gloria (Jeff) Perry of Cleveland; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services were held at 3 p.m. July 28 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or (800) ACS-2345.

McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
